Web Development

We design and ship modern web applications for US and EU companies — from marketing sites that need to load in under 1.5 seconds to full SaaS products serving thousands of concurrent users. Our internal SaaS line (Merot HRS, Finance, Logistics) is the proof-of-life for the stack we recommend.

Concrete deliverables

  • Marketing sites + landing pages — React, Next.js, Astro; built for SEO and Core Web Vitals.
  • Full SaaS web applications — multi-tenant, auth, billing, dashboards, API.
  • Internal tools + admin panels — for ops teams that need to move data without spreadsheets.
  • Web migrations + replatforming — from WordPress / legacy CMS to React; from monolith to microservices.
  • Performance + Core Web Vitals work — auditing slow sites, fixing LCP/CLS/INP issues.
  • Design-system + component-library work — Storybook + Figma + design tokens.

How we work

01

Discovery (1 week)

60-min kickoff + 4-day async exploration. We deliver a 6-page written brief with scope, technical risks, and a fixed estimate — before you commit.

02

Design + architecture (1-2 weeks)

Wireframes in Figma, schema sketches, tech-stack decisions documented in an ADR. Sign-off before any code.

03

Build in 1-week sprints

Slack in your channel, Linear/JIRA tickets, demo every Friday. You see real product within 2 weeks.

04

Ship + observability

CI/CD via GitHub Actions, monitoring (Sentry, PostHog, Datadog). Free regression fixes in year one.

Frequently asked questions — Web Development

Do you work in our codebase, or yours?

Yours. We push to branches in your repo, open PRs, you control merges. We use your CI, your review process, your hosting.

What's a typical first project?

Either: (a) Refactor a slow / hard-to-maintain section of your existing app — clear win in 2-4 weeks; or (b) Build a self-contained new feature end-to-end. Avoid 'rebuild the whole thing' on the first engagement.

How do you handle handoff if we want to take work in-house later?

Standard. We document everything in your repo + Notion/Confluence. No proprietary tooling, no lock-in. Most clients run a knowledge-transfer week with our engineers and your team before reducing scope.

Time-zone overlap with US clients?

Macedonia is CET (UTC+1). Standard overlap with US East Coast: 4-6 hours daily (12pm-6pm local). For US West Coast we typically shift to a 1pm-9pm local schedule. Async-first in EU morning.

Do you do mobile too, or just web?

Both. See /technologies/services/mobile for native iOS/Android. Most teams want a web app + a companion mobile app — we cover both with shared Figma + design system.

What about accessibility?

WCAG 2.1 AA is our default for any consumer-facing surface. We use axe-core in CI, manual NVDA/VoiceOver passes during QA, and document outcomes per page.

Can you work with our designer / agency?

Yes. Many engagements pair our engineers with the client's external designer. We provide Figma developer-mode handoff structure + design-token export.

What's your hiring filter for engineers?

Public portfolio + 2-stage technical interview + a paid take-home. The bar is the same one we'd apply to a full-time hire at Merot.
