Merot vs. Native Teams — managed-outsourcing difference
Native Teams is a Macedonian-built EOR + freelancer platform — strong product, global reach, mostly self-serve. Merot is a managed Balkan partner — we recruit, set up offices, supply IT, and run the day-to-day so you don't.
When each one wins
Managed outsourcing (people + place + IT)
- You need recruiting — you don't already have a candidate.
- You want office space + equipment included, not just a payroll layer.
- You're outsourcing whole functions (support, ops, sales) and want a partner managing the day-to-day.
- You're a US/UK company that wants a single named POC in the time zone, not a console.
- Your team is 1–50 people and you want a managed white-glove relationship.
Self-serve EOR + freelancer platform
- You already have the candidate and just need the EOR pipes.
- You're a freelancer or solo consultant who wants to invoice clients globally with a tax wrapper.
- You want a polished self-serve product to onboard contractors in minutes.
- Your team is global, not Balkan-concentrated, and you need broad country coverage.
- You're cost-sensitive on pure EOR fees and don't need office / equipment / recruiting.

Frequently asked questions
Both companies are from Macedonia — what's the actual difference?
We have a lot of respect for Native Teams — they're the largest Macedonian-built platform and they own the global self-serve EOR niche. The difference is operating model. Native Teams sells software-first: you log in, do things, scale yourself. We sell service-first: you tell us what you need, we hire and run it. If you'd rather not build a team-management muscle yourself, we're the answer; if you want to keep that in-house and just need pipes, they are.
Is Native Teams cheaper?
On the entry tier, yes — they have a €79/month plan that beats anyone for a solo contractor wrapper. For real EOR with an actual employee on payroll across MK/XK/AL, prices converge. We bundle recruiting + office + equipment, which Native Teams doesn't, so the apples-to-apples cost depends on whether you need those.
Can you handle freelancers like they do?
Yes — we do contractor (договор за дело) engagements with PDDGI XML filings to UJP. Their freelancer wrapper is more polished if all you need is invoicing-with-tax-handling. Ours is integrated with the rest of the back-office stack we run for clients.
What if I want to start small and grow?
Both companies handle that. The difference is we'll book a Zoom and walk you through the 3 candidates we sourced — they'll send you a Calendly link to talk to a sales rep. Pick the cadence you want.
What are some honest reasons to pick Native Teams over Merot?
If you're a freelancer or a 2-person consultancy that wants the lightest possible wrapper, they're great. If you're hiring across 30 countries and need one console, they're built for that. If you genuinely don't want a human in the loop, their product is better.
