The Estimating Assistant provides vital administrative and coordination support to the estimating team in preparing accurate project cost estimates. This role involves managing bid solicitations, organizing project documents, tracking vendor communications, and ensuring all estimating-related tasks are completed on time. The Estimating Assistant works closely with Estimators, Project Managers, and vendors to facilitate a smooth and efficient bidding process.
Solicit bids and quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
Track and follow up on bid submissions to ensure timely responses.
Review and compare received quotes for completeness and accuracy.
Maintain organized records of project estimates, proposals, and revisions.
Prepare bid documents, spreadsheets, and reports for estimator review.
Coordinate with Estimators and Project Managers to align project requirements.
Assist in preparing cost databases and maintaining supplier contact lists.
Perform general administrative tasks including scheduling, data entry, and document control.
Previous administrative or coordination experience in construction or a related field preferred.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
